FREE SUMMER LUNCH AT SONOMA COUNTY LIBRARY

Sonoma County Library is offering free weekday lunches to youth up to 18 at six locations from June 9 through Aug. 8, thanks to a partnership with the Redwood Empire Food Bank and California State Library.

Lunch is first-come, first-served. There are no income requirements and all are welcome. Locations include: Cloverdale, Northwest Santa Rosa (Coddingtown Mall), Rohnert Park Cotati, Roseland, Sebastopol and Sonoma Valley. Additionally, Guerneville Library offers “grab-and-go” lunches on Tuesdays from 2-3 p.m.

Expect weekly fruit and veggie tastings, dental tips from Smile Squad and healthy hydration advice from the Rethink Your Drink team. This runs alongside the Summer Reading Challenge to help kids stay full, sharp and inspired all summer long.

COMMUNITY WEBINAR ON HOMELESSNESS JUNE 10

The Sonoma County Department of Health Services is hosting an online community webinar on homelessness on Tuesday, June 10, from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. 

Participants will receive an overview of the issue and dive into the Homeless Data Dashboard, a tool that provides key insights to the challenges, successes and strategies around homelessness in Sonoma County.

Presenters include Daniel Overbury-Howland, HMIS coordinator; Adam Siegenthaler, information systems specialist; and Michael Gause, ending homelessness manager.
