Providing County Clerk-Recorder services to Sonoma County. Services include certified copies of vital records such as birth certificates, death certificates, and marriage certificates; marriage licenses; recording of real property records such as deeds, liens, and mortgages; filing notary public registrations and fictitious business name statements.

The Registrar of Voters Office is a division of the County Clerk-Recorder-Assessor’s Department, under the direction of an elected County Clerk. The Registrar of Voters Office performs a range of election-related duties, in addition to other public services that increase citizen participation and education

The County Administrator’s Office assists the Board of Supervisors in managing, directing and coordinating.
Climate Action and Resiliency
The Climate Action and Resiliency Division (CARD) within the County Administrator’s Office is dedicated to helping the County address the climate crisis and achieve climate-related goals and objectives. The Energy and Sustainability Division, formerly under the direction of the General Services Department, was recently merged with CARD and continues to provide a one-stop shop for residential and commercial property owners who are interested in making energy, water, wildfire safety, and seismic upgrades.

County Counsel Department
The Sonoma County Counsel's Office is committed to providing the highest quality legal representation and advice, in a timely and responsive manner, to assist the County, its governing Board of Supervisors and other clients to promote the public interest, achieve programmatic and strategic goals and protect financial resources.
Department of Emergency Management
The Department of Emergency Management is responsible for the mitigation, preparedness, planning, coordination of response, and recovery activities related to county emergencies and disasters.The department serves as the primary coordination point for emergency management's activities affecting more than one jurisdiction, and the unincorporated areas of the county. The Department of Emergency Management became an independent county department in July 2019.
Sonoma Public Infrastructure
Sonoma Public Infrastructure's divisions formerly known as General Services are internal services divisions that provide services to other county departments, these include: County Facilities Management, Small Construction Projects, Capital Project Management, Real Estate Leases & Rent for County Property, Purchase of Goods & Services, and County Fleet Management. Divisions formerly known as Transportation and Public Works administer critical services and infrastructure, including roads and public transit, an airport, multiple waste disposal sites, and water systems.

The Information Systems Department is responsible for providing leadership, support and coordination of technological efforts in most County departments.

In the summer of 2020, the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors created the Sonoma County Office of Equity and took a meaningful step to recognize and celebrate our powerful role in unseating racial inequity in our communities.
