Notice of Public Hearing: Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Funding Policies

The Sonoma County Community Development Committee and the Cities and Towns Advisory Committee will hold concurrent public hearings to review proposed revisions to Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Funding Policies for federal funding sources such as the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME), Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), and Low Moderate Income Housing Asset Fund (LMIHAF) programs. TSA Pre Check Scam - Do Not Renew or Sign Up From Link in an Email

The FTC has issued a warning of a new scam in which scammers email you to have you sign up or renew a TSA PreCheck by clicking on a link and paying online. Although the link takes you to a page that looks official this is a scam.  To obtain an initial TSA PreCheck, you are required to go in person and pay in person at a TSA Enrollment Center. TSA will not send email to renew your membership.  Read full story

National Prescription Drug Take Back Day

On Saturday, October 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sonoma County law enforcement agencies and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will host DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day at law enforcement agencies in the cities of Cotati, Cloverdale, Healdsburg, Rohnert Park, Santa Rosa, Sebastopol, and Town of Windsor. DEA and its partners will collect tablets, capsules, patches, and other solid and liquid forms of prescription drugs from Sonoma County residents. Vape pens and other e-cigarette devices will also be collected only after the batteries are removed from the devices. Read full story
