Sonoma County Housing Authority opens project-based voucher waitlists for three-bedroom units in Santa Rosa, Sonoma, Petaluma, Guerneville and Windsor

The Sonoma County Housing Authority will accept applications from now through Sept. 17, 2021 for Project-Based Voucher Waitlists tied to three-bedroom units at Crossroads Apartments in Santa Rosa, Fetters Apartments in Sonoma, Logan Place Apartments and Downtown River Apartments in Petaluma, Fife Creek Commons Apartments in Guerneville and Windsor Redwoods Apartments in Windsor. 

The three-bedroom unit waitlists are for households eligible for a three-bedroom unit according to the Housing Authority’s subsidy standards and reasonable accommodation policy. These typically are households of five to seven people.

Those interested in applying for the Crossroads Apartments, Fetters Apartments, Logan Place Apartments, Downtown River Apartments, Fife Creek Commons or Windsor Redwoods Apartments three-bedroom Project-Based Voucher Waitlists, must submit an application during this application period. A separate application is required for each waitlist.

Applications may be completed online at www.waitlistcheck.com/CA085. If you require a paper application, please contact the Housing Authority office by calling (707) 565-7501. Applications are due Friday, Sept. 17, 2021, by 5 p.m. if submitted in person at the Housing Authority’s offices, or by 11:59 p.m. if submitted online. The Housing Authority will conduct a random lottery to determine applicants’ placement on each waitlist.

The Housing Authority reminds the public that fees-for-service or credit card numbers are never collected when applying to Housing Choice Voucher or Project Based Voucher Waitlists. It is not uncommon for scammers to create fraudulent websites that appear authentic. Their names may say “Section 8”, and they might show an Equal Housing Opportunity logo. Such sites will take the applicant’s money and sell their personal information.
