Veterans Service Office Changes Drop-in and Veteran I.D. Hours Starting September 24, 2018
Santa Rosa,CA | September 11, 2018
Starting Monday, September 24, 2018 the Sonoma County Veterans Service Office (VSO), 3725 Westwind Boulevard, Santa Rosa, will increase drop-in office hours to Monday − Thursday, 8−11 AM.
In addition, the hours to get a County veteran I.D. card and/or a DMV Form in the Santa Rosa office will change to Thursdays only, 8:30 AM −11:45 AM. and 1:15 M - 4 PM. County ID cards are available in the Santa Rosa office only.
VSO office and phone hours continue to be Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM Appointment hours to meet with a VSO counselor also remain the same:
- At the Santa Rosa Office: Monday - Thursday, 8 AM - 4 PM.
- At the Human Services South County Center, 5350 Old Redwood Highway, North, Suite 100
- At the Petaluma Office: Tuesdays by appointment only, 8 AM - 4 PM.
The VSO helps U.S. military veterans and their families determine their eligibility and claim benefits, such as health care and funds for education. Benefits include those from the Federal Veterans Administration, State and local sources. In 2016, the VSO helped beneficiaries claim nearly $100 million in veteran and family compensation and pension benefits.
To claim benefits, veterans or family members’ first step is to meet in-person with a VSO counselor to learn about all the assistance available. Visit the Santa Rosa office during drop-in hours, or call (707) 565-5960 to schedule an appointment in the Santa Rosa or Petaluma office.
