Roads Maintenance Update

Due to high winds yesterday, road crews responded to a large down tree on Sweetwater Springs Rd around 6:30 PM. The response required equipment and a manlift, and Sweetwater Springs Rd was closed approximately four miles west of Westside Rd until around 10:30 PM.

This morning equipment will be moved out to Washington School Rd north of Geyserville to begin removal of the seasonal Asti Summer Crossing. The crossing will be closed at 12 noon today when the crew begins removal of signs and the causeway. 

Crews from the Sonoma road yard and the Traffic crew will be crack sealing this week along Warm Springs Rd between Bennett Valley Rd and Kenwood. One lane traffic controls will be in effect with only minor delays. Road crews in the Cotati, Healdsburg and Guerneville areas will be doing some minor drainage cleaning along Old Gravenstein Hwy south of Sebastopol, Rincon Ave off Calistoga Rd, Edison St in Graton and Van Keppel Rd in Forestville. Crews in Cotati will also be clearing culverts in the Petaluma area with a Vactor truck.

The Bridge crew will be doing guard rail repairs this week, starting today on River Rd near Slusser Rd. The Culvert crew will be on Mountain Ave in the Boys Hot Springs area of Sonoma this week working on a cross culvert. Traffic staff not involved in the crack sealing work will be doing sign repairs and responses this week.
