Power Restored to Nearly All Sonoma County Residents

SANTA ROSA, CA – Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) has restored power to nearly all of the approximately 200,000 county residents affected by the shutoff that began early Wednesday, October 9.

On Friday, October 11, the County closed the six Alternate Emergency Reporting Stations set up Thursday for affected residents who may have been unable to use their home phones to call 9-1-1, and began deactivating its Emergency Operations Center. The Department of Emergency Management will continue to monitor any additional needs from the less than 200 PG&E customers still without power as of 9 a.m.. Find the PG&E outage map here.

As the County begins to transition into the recovery phase of this event, the Department of Emergency Management has launched a survey asking residents to share their experience during the power shutoff. Residents can fill out the survey in Spanish andEnglish

. Responses will help officials better understand community impacts and prepare for future outages. A separate survey will be available for Sonoma County businesses at a later time. Businesses can find a recovery guide here.
