Local Assistance Center to Close in Guerneville
Center closes on Saturday at 6 p.m.

The Local Assistance Center (LAC) in Guerneville, established to help residents impacted by the winter storms and floods in the Russian River area last week, will close on Saturday March 9, 2019.
The hours of operation for the LAC will remain the same as the previous days and will be open for service on its final day of operation from 9:00 AM till 6:00 PM.
The LAC, which opened on Sunday March 3, at the former Bank of America Building in Guerneville, provided residents with support to begin recovering from the recent storms and flooding.
Government agencies and nonprofits answered questions, offered resources and took applications to determine eligibility for a variety of resources offered. All Sonoma County residents were provided access to these services regardless of immigration status.
County departments that participated at the LAC included Permit Sonoma, Human Services Department (HSD), Department of Health Services (DHS) and the Community Development Commission (CDC).
Residents who would like additional assistance can go to socoemergency.org/2019-flood/ for information regarding specific resources available.
Additionally, the American Red Cross has set up a local recovery hotline for residents at (707) 577-7613 available after the LAC closes.

Starting Monday, individuals needing post-flood permitting support should either come into the Permit Sonoma office located at 2550 Ventura Avenue or apply for permits online at https://prmd.sonomacounty.ca.gov/CitizenAccess
Permit Sonoma’s public lobby is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, except Wednesdays, open from 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
