Emerging Leaders are County employees who may supervise one or more direct reports, and/or lead a unit or team, and/or oversee services and/or oversee programs.

Emerging Leader Certificate of Completion

Get started earning your Emerging Leader Certificate of Completion - submit the enrollment form below!

Guidelines for participation:

Open to staff who are current Emerging Leaders (see note above).
Successful participants will complete the series of required and elective courses, in any order.
The certificate program is self-directed: enroll in classes as fits your work schedule and with manager approval.
Classes are available Virtually, In-Person at Workforce Development, and Web-Based through sonoma higher ed.
There are no time limits for completion, however curriculum may change over time.
Credit for previous similar coursework will not be given.
